Good to know

This is a moderate high-altitude trek. We build in a dedicated acclimatisation day at Manang and our guides carry an oximeter — but you should be comfortable walking 5–7 hours a day.

Day-by-day itinerary

Scenic drive west along the Marsyangdi valley, switching to a local jeep for the rough final stretch to Chame at 2,670 m. Evening soak in the hot springs.

Jeep transfer Hot springs Teahouse

Through pine forest and past the dramatic Paungda Danda rock face, climbing steadily to Upper Pisang with its prayer-flagged gompa above the village.

5–6 hrs trek All meals

The high route through Ghyaru and Ngawal — harder, but the finest views of the Annapurnas on the circuit — descending into Manang village.

6–7 hrs trek High route views

A rest-and-climb-high day: hike to Gangapurna Lake and the viewpoint above, or push higher to Ice Lake. Afternoon visit to Braga Monastery.

Acclimatisation Braga Monastery

For those going higher, the trail to Tilicho Base Camp and on to the lake at 4,919 m — one of the highest lakes in the world. Otherwise a relaxed day exploring Manang.

Tilicho Lake Optional extension

Retrace the valley on the lower route, with a different perspective on the peaks and an easier descent through the villages.

Descent Teahouse

Jeep to Besisahar and onward drive to Kathmandu, arriving in the evening.
