Day-by-day itinerary

Morning drive to Sauraha (approx. 5–6 hours). After lunch and a briefing, visit a traditional Tharu village and the riverbank for sunset. Evening Tharu cultural dance performance.

Road transfer Tharu village Overnight Sauraha

Dawn bird watching, then a dugout canoe drift down the Rapti River spotting gharial and marsh mugger. Guided jungle walk, and after lunch a jeep safari into the core park area in search of rhino and deer. Visit the elephant breeding centre on the way back.

Final early-morning nature walk or optional elephant bathing, breakfast at the lodge, then the drive back to Kathmandu or onward transfer to Pokhara.
